Wow, what a ride this campaign has been. There is an old saying that says “Experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want.” I have also heard that you need experience in order to win a campaign for Congress. Well, we now have lots of experience. Thanks to each and every one of you for your contribution of time, money and prayer during the campaign. Jackie and I need your continued prayer as we move into the next phase of our belief that Congress is our ultimate place.
My decision to run was never about political ambition or blind partisan loyalties, but fulfilling a promise I made to make a difference not just a point; it was about continuing to serve the community where Jackie and I have been proud to live, work, and raise our children these past 19 years.
I want to thank the hundreds of volunteers and supporters nationwide who contributed to our campaign. While we didn't overcome the tough challenges in the 14th District we learned a lot about the people of this district and this country that made me prouder then ever to be an American.
We ran the race honestly, fairly, and on the strength of our ideas and our plans for the future of this country.
I am now focused on extending the energized base of support that we built for Republicans in CD 14, supporting our local candidates, and raising the money necessary to retire our campaign debts and to be able to publish The Peden perspective on a semi-regular basis.
I encourage you all to become informed and involved. Sign up for The Peden Perspective e-mail updates on the conservative issues and events/activities in the district.
Learn how you can join a Republican club in your community. You can have fun, get to know other Republicans and make a difference.
Together we will realize our vision of "Conservative Results…For A Change". We are still focused and committed to working for a safer, stronger, more united America and all these things are possible with your help.
For the future of you and your family... stay active, stay informed, and stay well.
Thank you and let’s keep working together!
God Bless You and Texas,
