Dear Pastors,
Greetings! Jesus is Lord!
Please allow me to introduce Chris Peden, who has announced his candidacy for U.S. Congress.
I have known Chris all of his life, and as his pastor, I can highly recommend him as straightforward and sincere, and I feel confident in his ability to succeed as a congressman. The values instilled by his parents provide a strong foundation for a life of service and leadership. The Peden family has been a constant support to Life Tabernacle, beginning years ago when Chris' father began serving on our church board. Chris, along with the many members of his family who attend our assembly, is respected and admired, and as one who has watched him grow into a fine family man and Christian leader, I endorse him wholeheartedly.
I am proud of Chris' drive and ability. Chris is a successful businessman, earning the respect of the citizens of Friendswood, where he serves as a city councilman. Chris was elected to the City Council, receiving the highest number of votes ever garnered by an elected official in this position. One year later, he was selected Mayor Pro-Tem by his fellow council members, a position he continues to hold.
Brethren, what a great opportunity is before us--to have a Spirit-filled man like Chris in our government, serving the citizens in the 14th Congressional District with biblical principles as the "measuring stick" for decision making.
